The HP 86603A RF section output plug-in provides a 1 to 2600 MHz output when installed in one of the HP 8660 mainframes, a modular solid-state plug-in system.

When installed in an 8660A or 8660C mainframe:

• Frequency range: 1 - 2600 MHz (Resolution 1 Hz with CF <1300 MHz, 2 Hz with CF ≥1300 MHz)
• Signal to phase noise:  >45 dB with CF <1300 MHz, >39 dB with CF ≥1300 MHz
• Output level (into 50 Ω): +10 to -136 dBm with CF <1300 MHz, +7 to -136 dBm with CF ≥1300 MHz
• Flatness: <±2.0 dB
• Harmonics: ≤-30 dBc with CF <1300 MHz, ≤-20 dBc with CF ≥1300 MHz
• Pulse rise/fall time: 50 ns
• FM rate: DC to 200 kHz with the 86632B and 86635A modulation sections, 20 Hz to 100 kHz with the 86633B modulation section
• Pulse modulation ON/OFF ratio (with pulse level control at maximum): >40 dB with CF <1300 MHz, >60 dB with CF ≥1300 MHz
• Maximum peak deviation: >0 to 100 degrees with CF <1300 MHz, 0 to 200 degrees with CF ≥1300 MHz
• Impedance: 50 Ω
