National Instruments PXI-6030E Multifunction DAQ Device
The National Instruments PXI-6030E Multifunction DAQ Device (Part number: 777555-01) features 16 single-ended or 8 differential analog input channels, two 16-bit analog outputs, two 24-bit counters, eight digital I/O lines, analog triggering, and more than 70 signal conditioning options. The National Instruments PXI-6030E is an E Series device, which is designed to deliver reliable data acquisition capabilities to meet a broad range of applications. With this DAQ, the user can achieve 16-bit resolution and 100 KS/s sampling rate maximum with the 16 single-ended input channels. The PXI-6030 is capable of streaming to a disk at fast rates (up to 100 kS/s) depending upon the type of hard drive.
This PXI Multifunction DAQ Device is fully compatible with the requirements determined by the PXI Specification Rev 1.0. Thus, it can perform all bus-related configurations automatically and requires no user interaction. The National Instruments PXI-6030E offers two TTL/CMOS compatible up/down counter/timers and one frequency scaler, with 24 bits and 4 bits resolution respectively. As far as its transfer characteristics are concerned, this model offers ±0.5 LSB relative accuracy, ±1 LSB maximum DNL, and 16 bits, guaranteed monotonicity.
The PXI-6030E device has two input polarities: bipolar and unipolar. Bipolar input means the input voltage range is between –Vref and +Vref. Unipolar input means the input voltage range is between 0 and Vref, when Vref is a positive reference voltage.
The PXI-6030E is run using the NIDAQmx driver software which is compatible with application development environments (ADEs) such as LabVIEW or LabWindows/CVI.
Since this DAQ Device does not have a jumper, DIP switches, or potentiometers it is easily software-configured and calibrated. It has a recommended calibration interval of 1 year. This DAQ has DC coupling at 0.1 Ω max output impedance and ±5 mA current drive. The NI PXI-6030E has a robust triggering profile as it supports a broad range of analog/digital triggers. It is equipped with a 68-pin male SCSI-II I/O connector. The NI device measures 6.3 x 3.9 in. in physical dimensions.
PXI-6030E Obsolete Status has been declared by National Instruments, but this device will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
