The VM700T Option 48 is an interface adaptor that extends the remote control capability of the instrument to the GPIB (General-purpose Interface Bus) environment. The interface streamlines system integration of the VM700T in video equipment manufacturing environments.

The GPIB interface is selected through the Communications Setup file in the VM700T Configuration mode and supports all of the VM700T commands. The command set includes instrument identification and event/error handling.

With Option 48, the VM700T can be linked to generators, analyzers, scopes, bed-of-nails testers and other GPIB controlled devices (excluding GPIB printers) over a single bus.
