GR874 50 Ω adapters: These adapters provide easy conversion from the GR874 connector to popular military and industrial coaxial connectors. Many of the adapters are available with locking GR874 connectors to allow semi-permanent attachment of the adapter while ensuring stable electrical performance. The adapters extend the usefulness of the GR874 connectors without sacrificing electrical performance. Because any two GR874 adapters can mate, a few of them can perform a cross-connection task that would otherwise involve a costly collection of direct adapters. For example, interconnection of types BNC, C, Microdot, N, TNC, and UHF plugs and jacks would require 72 direct adapters, whereas only 12 GR874 adapters are needed to do the same job.
