National Instruments SCC-LP04 Lowpass Filter Module
The user can plug the National Instruments SCC-LP04 (Part Number: 777459-10) Lowpass Filter Module into any analog input socket on the SC-2345. It can work as a solitary stage module or as the first or second phase of a double stage signal molding setup. The socket the user picks determines which E Series DAQ device channels receive the NI SCC-LP04 output signals. The signal source can be floating or ground referenced. This model’s circuitry incorporates high-impedance bias resistors ordinarily required for floating sources. In addition, floating signal sources do not require outside bias resistors associated with ground.
The National Instruments SCC-LP04 Lowpass Filter Module utilizes a Butterworth filter, which is characterized by maximal flatness in the passband with sharp monotonic roll-off. This module has a nonlinear stage reaction, where the deferral is not constant, and the step reaction shows a moderate measure of overshoot (ringing). These characteristics present no issues in applications where just the amplitude of signal frequency components is of interest. The solid line delineates a high-frequency signal being sampled at certain points. When these points are associated with “reconstructing the waveform,” as appears by the spotted line, the signal seems to have a lower frequency. Any signal with a frequency greater than one portion of the testing rate will be associated and mistakenly analyzed as having a frequency beneath one portion of the sampling rate. This limiting frequency, one portion of the inspecting rate, is known as the Nyquist frequency.
