The installation of an EMC Ferrite does not involve any special tool or expertise since most ferrites are built to be clamped over the signal carrying conductors. The National Instruments EMI Suppression Ferrite is available for several types of modules in different sizes.
These variations include four versions for C Series Modules: EMI Suppression Ferrite for the NI-9229/39 BNC (Part Number: 782801-01), EMI Suppression Ferrite for the NI-9232 screw terminal (Part Number: 782802-01), EMI Suppression Ferrite for the NI-9401 (Part Number: 782803-01), and EMI Suppression Ferrite (Part Number: 784136-01).
There are also two versions available for BNC Cables. Part number 781233-02 is a 10.22 mm size ferrite and part number 781950-01 is a ferrite for 5.1 mm diameter cable. Lastly, there are two versions for DAQ Cables: part number 777296-01 for ribbon cables and part number 777297-01 which is 13.4 mm.
