Keysight (formerly Agilent) 83525A-004 bgt;Agilent/HP 83525A RF Sweep Generator Plug-in
bgt;Agilent/HP 83525A RF Sweep Generator Plug-in for 8350A/B mainframe, .01 to 8.4GHz The HP 83525A/B cover the frequency range of 10 MHz to 8.4GHz with excellent frequency stability, accuracy, and output power. The HP 83525A/B maintains excellent frequency parameters and accuracies within +/-12 MHz.The HP 83525A plug-in, with extremely broad frequency range, does not sacrifice power. This plug-in provides at least +13dBm of output power while being internally leveled to a flatness of +/-1dB.The HP 83525B plug-in provides the same outstanding specifications as the HP 83525A plus 45dBc harmonics for maximum dynamic range in RF component and system measurements. The following options are available:Option 002 = Programmable 70 dB Step Attenuator (10 dB steps) Option 004 = Rear Panel RF OutputRefurbished
The HP 83525A is an RF plug-in of the 83500 Series of broadband plug-ins for the 8350A sweep oscillator. To be a complete operating unit, the 8350A must be used in conjunction with an RF plug-in unit that operates in the required frequency range. The 83525A covers the frequency range of 10 MHz to 8.4 GHz. With leveled power output at 20 mW (+13 dBm) and a flatness of ±1.5 dBm, the 83525A plug-in does not compromise on power despite its wide frequency range. The power level can be extended with the 70 dB attenuator option.
The broad frequency range of the 83525A is created by two bands that overlap by 100 MHz. The lower band, from 10 MHz to 2.1 GHz is produced by a heterodyne circuit, whereas the upper band, from 2 GHz to 8.4 GHz is produced by a YIG oscillator. The 100 MHz overlap provides smooth switching between the two bands.
The 83525A provides crystal markers below 2 GHz. As well, the plug-in produces 1 MHz harmonic markers below 1 GHz. The markers, which appear as amplitude dips or intensity spots, assist in simplying and speeding up precision measurements.
