The KSJ MG268-F2 Multi-Angle Gloss Meter is a compact, easy to use gloss meter that simultaneously displays measured values at 20º, 60º and 85º angles allowing the user to quickly view optimized measurements for low and high gloss applications. This can be used for most inspection applications with matte to mirror finish such as coatings, paints, plastics, polished stone, metal and manufactured products. Calright Instruments laboratory technicians verified the MG268-F2 with internal laboratory repeatability tests and sales history data to determine the reliability of this product. The simple design allows the user to easily place the gloss meter on the surface of flat materials and immediately begin taking continuous and average measurements at 3 angles simultaneously. The results will be displayed in Gloss Units (GU) along with corresponding angles that the user can then quickly determine if the material meets established acceptance criteria set by manufacturer or simply measure the difference between two sample materials. The MG268-F2 can record more than 10000 measurements to internal memory that can later be downloaded to a PC with included software to view, print or export to Excel for reporting. The MG268-F2 is designed and manufactured according to ISO 2813 and GB9754 and meet the following standards: ASTM D2457, ASTM D523, GB/T13891, GB7706 and GB8807. Technical parameters conform with JJG696-2002. While using the 60º angle gloss meter, the scale shown below can be used to determine the estimated Gloss Unit (GU) range to be expected and recommendations for improvements.
