National Instruments PCI-7332 Motion Controller Device
The National Instruments PCI-7332 (Part Number: 778924-02) a 2-Axis Stepper Motion Controller designed for various motion applications. This device offers real-time system integration for direct communications with image acquisition or data acquisition devices and additionally allows linear interpolation. This feature enables the user to achieve coordination between multiple axes. The NI PCI-7332 can also be coupled with a stepper generation system for ensuring gentle motion in high velocity applications. This device is perfect when utilizing stepper motors for applications where solely simple motion is necessary. It has a maximum step output rate of 4 MHz.
With this Motion Controller, the user can utilize National Instruments Motion Assistant- a graphical prototyping tool that can be used in a broad range of applications. This Motion Controller comes with the RTSI bus and can communicate with other devices directly, eliminating the requirement of any additional wiring. Moreover, this synchronization arrangement through the dedicated RTSI bus also prevents the consumption of bandwidth on the host bus. The National Instruments PCI-7332 device comes with a motion I/O connector that contains all of the required signals, including: trigger inputs, inhibit outputs, encoder feedback inputs, breakpoint outputs, forward input, reverse limit input, home input, etc.
The device operates using the NI-Motion driver software which is compatible with application development environments such as LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI, Microsoft Visual C++, and Microsoft Visual Basic.
For general purpose analog input or analog feedback, the I/O connector has four 12-bit A/D input channels as well. In addition, a separate, 68-pin digital I/O connector is also provided for various digital I/O lines. The NI PCI 7332 Motion Controller Device offers two PWM (pulse width modulation) outputs through its digital I/O connector. These PWM outputs can be used for the generation of periodic waveforms with controlled period and duty cycles. The device has the dimensions: 6.9 x 3.9 in.
Each NI PCI-7332 requires:
