National Instruments PXI-2188 Audio Power Amplifier
National Instruments created the PXI-2188 Audio Power Amplifier as a tool for audio test and measurement applications. This amplifier has two output channels (ch1 and ch0) and two input channels (ch1 and ch0). It can produce 8W of total power output with a 5X gain. It easily interfaces with PXI Oscilloscopes and PXI Vector Signal Analyzers, and other compatible RF instruments, improving testing and monitoring capabilities for spectrum regulation, radio monitoring, interference detection, speaker testing, and other applications.
The PXI-2188 is designed specifically for sound and vibration analysis, allowing for precise measurements using large dynamic range transducers like as accelerometers and microphones. Accurate data gathering in a variety of situations is ensured by its software-configurable AC/DC coupling, antialiasing filters, and Integrated Electronics Piezoelectric (IEPE) conditioning.
Its ability to work with the LabVIEW Sound and Vibration Toolkit, a software add-on that offers a variety of analysis tools like power spectrum, sweeping sine, and octave analysis VIs, is one of the primary characteristics of the PXI-2188. In order to maintain compliance with changing IEC standards, the toolkit also provides support for frequency analysis, transient analysis, audio and distortion measurements, and frequency response measurements. The toolkit includes over 50 ready-to-use LabVIEW examples that users can use to get their applications started quickly.
For large channel count applications, the PXI Sound and Vibration Modules take advantage of the PXI platform's timing and synchronization features to provide synchronized measurements across several modules. A slot-to-slot local bus, a 100 MHz differential system clock, a dedicated 10 MHz system reference clock, PXI trigger buses, star trigger buses, and differential signaling are just a few of the synchronization features included into the PXI Express chassis. Multi-instrument response to triggers with sub-nanosecond skew is made possible by NI-TClk technology, which also improves timing and synchronization.
The PXI-2188 may be stored at temperatures within the same range as it is intended to function in, which is -40 to 85 °C. It may be kept at humidity ranges between 5 and 95% RH and used in noncondensing environments between 10 and 90% RH. With a pollution degree of 2, the sensor can operate at a maximum height of 2,000 meters.
Reliability and low environmental impact are just some of the benefits of the PXI-2188 Audio Power Amplifier.
